MEET THE DOCTORS
Dr. Leila Younger
Dr. Younger is a board-certified pediatric dentist with more than 20 years of experience. After earning her undergraduate degree in Biology and her dental degree from the University of Illinois, she completed her clinical training at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Dr. Younger also has her Master’s degree in pediatric dentistry from Northwestern University.
Dr. Younger serves on the board of directors for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
When she’s not treating patients at Smiles for Kids, she can be found teaching at the University of Southern California and visiting her two children who reside in Los Angeles. Dr. Younger also enjoys hiking and biking with her husband as well as traveling for medical mission trips to provide dental care in underserved areas.
Dr. Megan Davenport
Dr. Davenport is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She grew up in South Bend, Indiana and attended the University of Notre Dame where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology. She then graduated with high distinction for Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. After working for two years at a community health clinic in central Wisconsin as a general dentist, Dr. Davenport completed pediatric specialty training in Milwaukee at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Dr. Davenport takes pride in providing exceptional dental care to children in a compassionate, gentle way. It is her priority to help children feel safe and at ease while at the dentist so that they can have a positive and fun dental experience.
In her spare time, Dr. Davenport enjoys baking, college football (Go Irish!), traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Andrew Weiss
Dr. Weiss has practiced orthodontics in the Chicagoland area for 45 years, with a great majority of this time being spent alongside pediatric dentists. He is very familiar and comfortable treating the unique needs of children and adults. Dr. Weiss is a long-time resident of the surrounding community and has grandchildren in the area.
In addition to treating a multitude of orthodontic needs for children, Dr. Weiss is also an expert in treating adult patients. In fact, Dr. Weiss is an Invisalign premier provider with over 700 cases treated. Invisalign can be a great option for teens and adults. New advancements in technology over the years has made treatment more efficient and aesthetic. Dr. Weiss has taken numerous continuing education courses on this topic over the years, so he is a great choice for your Invisalign needs.
Dr. Paula Needham
Dr. Paula L. Needham is originally from Chicago, attended Tufts University in Medford, MA, where she received her BS in Psychology. At Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and was awarded Merit Scholarship for academic performance. After earning her DMD degree, she completed a 1-year General Practice Residency in Maywood, IL at Loyola Medical Center where she discovered her love for the pediatric population and working with children with special health care needs. Dr. Paula completed her Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.
She is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Paula lives locally with her husband Rob and two sons, Ryan and Miles. They have two rescue dogs, Wylie Coyote and Wrigley. In her free time, she likes to experiment in the kitchen, practice Pilates and hike.
